The Effects of Cannabis
The Effects of Cannabis is a course that explores the psychoactive and physical effects of cannabis consumption. The course covers a wide range of topics such as: the history of cannabis use, the endocannabinoid system, the pharmacology of cannabis and its active compounds, and the short-term and long-term effects of cannabis use on the brain and the body. Students will also learn about the potential therapeutic uses of cannabis and its effects on different medical conditions.
Throughout the class, students will critically evaluate the existing research on cannabis and analyze the impact of different cannabinoids on cognitive function, mood and addiction. Additionally, students will explore the legal and social issues surrounding cannabis use, including the impact of drug policies on public health and individual rights.
